Your MRI Matters

Medicine today is often rushed, and doctors and nurses are seeing more patients than ever while spending less time with each patient.

When most medical practitioners are looking at your MRI they are looking for the big scary things like cancer, infection, and fractures. Practitioners often dismiss everything else.

The other factor is that radiologists are spending less and less time with images than ever. Even 10-15 years ago the average radiologist spent a minimum 45 minutes to an hour with an image. That time very often has been cut down to 10 minutes depending on the case load of the radiologist and medical facility. It is no wonder that more things get missed or mentioned as casual findings.

Normal MRI’s

This MRI came up as a 'healthy MRI' google search. This image is NOT a healthy MRI. Most surgeons would say this is a healthy MRI, because they are looking at this to determine if they should do surgery or not.

This MRI has multiple disc bulges, nerve entrapment issues, and modic changes to the bones which can all cause an incredible amount of issues and are often pre-cursors to ACTUAL surgical cases.

Most Patients Never See Their Image Or Results

Patients also very rarely have their MRI findings explained or even seen their images. Most patients get told by a nurse or physicians assistant that their MRI is fine (no cancer, no surgery) and nothing more.

The results matter—time and time again we have found that a minor disc bulge or a slight nerve entrapment is the root cause of debilitating pain/weakness/numbness and or muscle spasms.

You Should Understand Your Body More Than Your Car

God gave us one body. Everyone deserves to know what is going on with it. If you or somebody you know has had an MRI or any other imaging without an explanation of the results, please schedule a consultation immediately.
