Leading Contributor of Chronic Pain
Adhesion is one of the leading contributors to chronic pain— as many of you have learned! Adhesion is the sticky stuff that looks like spiderwebs in an abandoned barn!
Next Level Treatment
Using our manual therapy, our doctors get rid of adhesion and create a healing environment for the underlying tissues. Tissues such as the intervertebral disc, specific nerves, and deep cartilage are difficult to treat directly. We physically cannot shove our thumbs or the instrument into the tissues mentioned above to help the healing process. Now using our shockwave protocol, WE CAN!
Our Shockwave Protocol
Shockwave therapy does a great job of removing adhesion (just like our chronic pain doctors). Shockwave therapy is able to get treatment to previously impossible tissues without cutting or injecting anything!
Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT), or what we refer to as “Shockwave Therapy”, was utilized for musculoskeletal problems beginning in the early 2000's. We are using the shockwave technology and applying a new protocol to treat some of our most common diagnoses.
Our shockwave protocol is unique and has been around for only a few years. AHG and our 30 colleagues around the world are currently the only doctors that utilize the shockwave technology in this way/protocol.
Benefits of our Shockwave Protocol
Shockwave provides multiple advantages along with four major benefits:
1st—Shockwave removes adhesion, very efficiently.
2nd—Shockwave reduces inflammation.

Contraindications of Shockwave Protocol
There are some instances where we cannot apply our shockwave protocol.
This treatment is extremely safe, but here are some cases we should not apply treatment:
Pregnant women (near the baby)
Active tumor diseases (Cancer)
Corticosteroid or Anabolic steroid use within 1 week
The treating doctor can treat, but must be cautious for those with:
Coagulation disorders (like hemophilia)
Anticoagulant use (especially warfarin)
Thrombosis
Near a heart pacemaker (or other artificial devices)
Do not hesitate to bring any questions, concerns or comments about shockwave and our protocol to anyone of our doctors—as they would LOVE to go over everything with you!
